South Worcestershire Development Plan Update
The South Worcestershire Development Plan is presently subject to review. This article explains what is happening and its implications for our parishes in Flyford Flavell, Grafton Flyford and North Piddle. The full document can be found on the internet. C2077 Shaftland Cross to Grafton Flyford (Temporary Closure)
Reason for restriction: Restore BT Customer Service. There is a need to close the highway in the following terms:
- The effect of this Notice is that no vehicle shall proceed along that part of the highway from its junction with A422 Worcester Road to its junction with C2077 Shaftland Cross to Grafton Flyford.
- This provision shall continue in force for a maximum of 5 days, however, it is anticipated that it will remain in force for 2 days commencing 24 September 2019.
- Alternative routes: - C2118 Grafton Flyford to Himbleton, U43205 Hill Top Road, C2150 Earls Common Road, C2053 Cockshot Lane, A422 Alcester Road, A422 Worcester Road and vice versa.
Nothing in this Notice shall prevent at any time access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the highway, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from and only from the highway.
C2010 New Road, North Piddle (Temporary Closure)
Proposed Order: to close that part of C2010 New Road from its junction with A422 Alcester Road to its junction with U43207 Kington Lane.
Reason: Carriageway Patching.
Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2010 Alcester Road, C2011 Evesham Road, A422 Worcester Road, A422 Alcester Road and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months
Anticipated duration: 15 days
Commencing: 14 August 2019
